Christopher Delgado (trumpet) is my friend from back in the GVSU days, and currently a DMA candidate at Rutgers University. Last October, Chris invited me out to New Jersey to accompany him on his first DMA recital, where he played a full program of my works for trumpet. Here's a video of us doing scarlet rising moon.

last fall i played a set on the inaugural season of the new Brooklyn music venue National Sawdust. the space feels brand new, with angular white acoustic boards, new-car smell, and a crystal-clear sound system. i played a fluid set of four original tunes; rough asymmetrical beats on the ends and a rich, creamy trumpet center, all under projections of colorful films by Zander Padget (octopus/the end of the world) and J.D. Forslin (rikai).
performed with guitar and drum machine played into a signal flow loop and let spun through filters and wires, say-khul explores the blended aesthetics of analog and digital signals routing into and through each other, by way of Finch's analog pedal systems, and Cuthbért's homebrew filter macros and drum synths.
