last fall i played a set on the inaugural season of the new Brooklyn music venue National Sawdust. the space feels brand new, with angular white acoustic boards, new-car smell, and a crystal-clear sound system. i played a fluid set of four original tunes; rough asymmetrical beats on the ends and a rich, creamy trumpet center, all under projections of colorful films by Zander Padget (octopus/the end of the world) and J.D. Forslin (rikai).
i'm excited to share a free download of the board recording of my set, available now on bandcamp and spotify (and all those other places) via slashsound records. the release artwork, pictured here, was databent by fellow /s artist Matt Finch from a photo from the show.
hope you enjoy.
